Some of my Crafts from the past.

I made these two pieces at Tafe in Hervey Bay. I was studying for a Diploma in Visual Arts at the time , but sadly didn't finish it as usual. This one sold at the Hervey Bay gallery.

They were based on the sea life around my area. I think mangroves were a great influence. ????

The cat and the little joey also sold on ebay.

This is one of many drawings I did of Pug puppies, they are sooo cute, dont' you think?
They sold like hot cakes.

Heres a dingo. I don't like the way it is outlined, but at the time I thought it was good enough to sell, and it did.

I will post more later, I have heaps. I have had a bit of trouble with the spacing of the pix. The way you see them is the way they uploaded and I couldn't seem to get a space between the cat and the Joey. Anyway more to come later.

Hello, is anyone there.

Hi this is my first posting on my new blog. I have called it Bitz and Pieces because I have a limited attention span and flit from one thing to the other, usually weekly. It could be crafts, cooking, health, gardening, fishing, bush walking or just about anything.

I suppose I should tell you a bit about me, as this is my first post. I am a late 50 ish widow of 9 years living in Queensland Australia. I dabble in lots of things as I have said above. I am writing a blog in the hope that eventually I will help you find interesting things to do with yourself. Also I would like to share with you my beautiful surrounds here in South East Queensland, and some idea of the way of life here in Australia. Naturally I would be very happy to hear from you and also find out about you as well. Please feel free to comment (good or bad) on anything I write about, and ask me questions if you wish.

Now to something new. This week (today actually, 3rd of Febuary) I have started on the Atkins diet because the Biggest Loser has come back on TV and I reckon I need to lose about 5 stone. (ah thats 70lbs or 30kgs or there abouts). No small amount, but I am not in a great hurry. I chose Atkins because after a few days it gets your appetite under control, (yes I have been there before, but gave up because I couldn't drink alcohol till the cows came home, but that's another story, I don't drink much now). Anyway I will keep you posted on how I am going.
